Why do I feel SO SAD that it’s over???? I don’t even know where the weekend went but I want to go back and do it again!!!!! Is this normal? I don’t even know what to do with myself now hahaha. #postweddingblues
I’m going to thank you properly very soon but for now I thought I’d just tell you this. I seriously wish I could relive the entire day. I’ve become completely wedding-obsessed…it’s your fault for giving me the wedding of my dreams 🙂 I’m starting to help some other plan their weddings also. I will be eternally grateful for you!!
What can I say. I’m still on a high. I may never come down – you did a fabulous job. I’m getting tons of calls and I just wanted to thank you for everything. Dani is on her way to Africa now!
-Perry (father of the bride)
The wedding was so incredibly amazing, like a fairytale. We have a gift for you when we get back from the honeymoon and would also love to get together for dinner soon. Thank you for creating such a magical evening!!
We are home from our mini-moon…and finally able to breathe again! Just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful destination wedding weekend in St. Thomas! It was amazing! People can’t stop talking about it. Yeahhh!! Thank you for making it all come to life~!!
Thank you so much for everything! You are truly amazing!!! Everything was absolutely perfect. I had the most amazing day. I was so overwhelmed that I am not even sure I thanked you! You have a real talent and are amazing at what you do. I am so impressed by you. Every detail was perfect. I will never be able to thank you enough. You made my vision come to life. Everyone that was there raved about how beautiful everything was.
Something is coming your way as soon as I get back to New York. Meanwhile, here is a pic one of my friends took of us when I saw the room. Thought you would like it. Love my expression – and that you wore pink and navy to match my wedding ????
I just wanted to send you all a quick email before we depart for our honeymoon to let you know how wonderful Lauren was to work with over the past month. We were in contact almost every day, and she was incredibly patient, responsive, and also so very cheerful! I didn’t feel at all nervous before our wedding day, and Lauren was a huge part of that. It was such a relief to know that such a competent individual was overseeing all of the details of our big day, and that we were in such capable hands. I am certain you know how wonderful Lauren is, but I wanted to share how pleased we were. She is the best!
Wow. What a weekend. Whenever people told me my wedding would be the best night of my life I would just shrug it off like yeah yeah it’s going to be great, but I never expected it to be so incredible. Words can’t describe how amazingly happy we both were, and now I can say for sure that it was by FAR the most amazing, happy, incredible, fabulous night of our lives. So, an enormous THANK YOU is in order. Not only for putting together something more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed of, but for being my confidante, my friend, my champion and making all my dreams come true. Our wedding is something I will never forget and it is thanks in a huge part to working with you and other great vendors that I was able to enjoy it fully. Thank you for everything, I can’t wait to relive it all through the pictures and video!
Please know you have friends in Teodoro and I and you are always welcome to come to the DR with Eric.
Thank you so much for EVERYTHING! It was beautiful and you did an incredible job! Seriously, it was perfection! We just love you and couldn’t stop talking about how perfect it all was and what a great job you did! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
The wedding was wonderful, I had so much fun, and even better I feel everyone else had a great time too! I wish we could do it all over again. Thank you so much for all you did. It was certainly the happiest day of my life. Jackie, the photographer sent a couple preview photos the day after the wedding and I have attached them to this email 🙂 Thanks again!
Hey all! Kevin and I are dining on leftover cake/flipping through friends’ Facebook photos and thought we’d send some your way (at least the photos…we’ve just about killed the rest of that yummy cake). Thank you all SO very much for making it such an incredible day. We had a great time working with you and really appreciate all your help. Drinks soon!
Everything was beyond. Thanks so much for everything, you guys are amazing! My mom and I were sad when we talked the next day and both said “we are going to miss Julie!!!”
-Can’t wait until our other daughter get’s engaged so we can call you again!
I wanted to thank you again for creating such a beautiful day for us. The day of was hot, and like a blur…seeing these photos reminds us of just how beautiful everything looked. Thank you for using your talents and really understanding our vision.
Good morning! I hope you have recovered from the weekend. I’m sure you are already on to your next amazing wedding, but I hope you won’t forget us. The entire experience was so much fun and you made it so easy. Get ready because I’m sending every single friend of mine your way! For anyone searching for a planner…Julie is fantastic. Cannot say enough good things about working with her. If you want to hear more, I’ll give you my mom’s cell phone number because she can go on for days. I brainstormed wedding ideas with Julie, and apart from my opinions on the chuppah and the lighting, she thought of all the cool elements – the escort card frame wall, the garden wall behind my table, the hanging gardens – and brought ever wish I had to life. I tried to stay calm and removed from the days’ details and felt 100% confident that Julie and her team had it covered. They didn’t miss a beat and it could not have been a more perfect day.
Julie and her team at Strawberry Milk Events definitely fall in the ‘ideal’ wedding planners category. My experience with Julie was nothing less than incredibly professional and exceeded expectations on all counts. As we all know, a wedding is a personal occasion and the goal for any couple is to find a way to have your fairytale wedding meet the reality of guest list, venue size, catering, flowers, etc. This team will find a way to make it happen and take all the crazy stress of planning off your plate.
Julie understands the intricacy of the business. The job of a wedding planner exceeds far beyond organizing budget spreadsheets and task timelines (although those pieces are helpful and provided), they are creating the entire atmosphere for the party. Julie took the time to learn about my husband and I in order to create a final product that fit our personalities. I am from the mid-west and my husband is from the east coast, my request was to find a way to mesh these two worlds…not an easy task. Julie was able to create the most beautiful ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel with a maritime meets Colorado mountains theme and it was breathtaking. We were able to get a quick sneak peek of the room before our guests entered and to say I was speechless doesn’t begin to do it justice. The tables were set, the flower centerpieces were perfectly positioned, colors flowed seamlessly and the lighting added the final touch!
Words of wisdom…if you can make room in the budget for a wedding planner, do yourself a favor and hire one. And if you’re really smart, you will choose Strawberry Milk Events.
We had a fabulous experience with Strawberry Milk Events and would highly recommend!
Strawberry Milk did a fantastic job helping pull together the details of our Indian/Jewish fusion wedding! Julie worked with me on a partial/design package, as well as the day of the wedding. She helped me work with the Indian decorator, florist and rental company to help get my vision across as well as add her expertise and ideas, which ultimately led to really beautiful centerpieces and decorations for both our ceremony and reception. She also coordinated my rentals for me, and helped me pick out the right types of linens, chairs, chargers, etc which really enhanced the room, and took a load off my plate! She also was very helpful in planning the rehearsal. There were a lot of people to shuffle around, and she was very good at making sure everyone knew what they were doing in a calm and organized manner. Planning a wedding is not an easy task, and there are lots of details that can be missed when you don’t do this for a living, so it was extremely helpful to have someone who was not only an expert, but also very friendly, creative, knowledgeable, easy to work with, responsive, and dependable! I would definitely highly recommend Julie to help you plan your wedding or any other special event!!
Julie is so great to work with–responsive, creative, easy, and gently keeps you on track when wedding craze gets a bride overwhelmed… She has a great style and eye and helped me get the look I wanted, and attended to the details when I couldn’t. She’s such a refreshing change from the typical group of DC planners, who do beautiful weddings but nothing particularly interesting to me. I was so grateful for the time she saved me by handling vendors, tracking down the answers to questions that came up, sending ideas and photos for things I couldn’t describe myself. She was charming with my mother–of utmost importance!–and the groom. She has a great energy, and a sense of fun and whimsy and makes it very easy to enjoy the process. She was able to suggest some vendors aside from the usual suspects when I wasn’t thrilled with Washingtonian.com’s go-to list. If there were any issues otherwise I never knew about them–which is exactly as it should be! Julie also sourced tons of beautiful antiques and accessories to top off our cocktail hour in the British Colonial/South African theme we chose (as an ode to meeting on a safari.) It was pitch perfect without seeming too theme-y. Everyone was beyond gushing gushing gushing about how amazing the party was; it was seamless, sparkling, beautiful and romantic and Julie’s sense of style and execution definitely helped make that happen.
I’m an older bride with a design background. I wanted to work with someone that would be a second pair of eyes and bring fresh thinking to our secret elopement. She would be my only resource for bouncing off ideas, sharing opinions, and discovering new details — none of our friends and family knew of our elopement. Julie was a godsend, she was my right hand woman. She supported me in the months up to our elopement and then was there on our big “secret” day. I strongly recommend her as a planner and a designer. She will challenge and bring new thinking to brides — even brides like me, who come from the design field and have great confidence in their own abilities.
