Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Network

In August 2015 Dogpatch Labs joined the Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Network, a community of independent partner tech hubs around the world. Started just over a year, the network now has four campuses and 20 locations around the world such as London, Sydney and San Francisco.

For startups working with Dogpatch Labs, the Tech Hub Network puts new resources at their fingertips, including funding, training and mentorship opportunities, and access to Google programs and products throughout the network including mentorship from Dublin Googlers; eligibility for Google product offers relevant to startups; the Google for Entrepreneurs Global Passport, where entrepreneurs from each hub can work for free at spaces  designated at any other hub in the network.

Google supports Tech Community

Google’s partnership with Dogpatch Labs builds on its commitment to support the startup community through programmes like Adopt a Startup and Startup Weekend, as well as partnerships with Enterprise Ireland and Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur.

The First Friday for Startups initiative which runs every month from Dogpatch Labs also provides mentorship and expertise from Google mentors on areas such as Data, Marketing and Analytics.

Together with Google for Entrepreneurs we’ve been active in running events and workshops for the tech community in Ireland. We also help promote Google programs such as Adopt a Startup, BlackBox Connect and many more amazing opportunities for entrepreneurs

First Fridays for Startups

First Fridays for Startups is a monthly event powered by Google for Entrepreneurs which brings mentors and entrepreneurs from all over the country to the Urban Garden. Share knowledge, tips and insights in the areas of Marketing, Analytics, Legal, Data and Business Development, the mentoring sessions are invaluable to entrepreneurs.

Blackbox Connect

Blackbox Connect is a program that brings motivated founders with great ideas from every corner of the world to Silicon Valley to learn from and connect with successful entrepreneurs, experienced venture capitalists and other resources to accelerate their global expansion. There has been a strong presence of Irish startups at Blackbox in recent years and our very own Liz McCarthy is currently representing Dogpatch as the Partner-in-Residence at the 17th edition the program, taking place from November 7th to 18th.

Adopt a Startup

The mission of Adopt a Startup is to accelerate the growth of high potential Irish Startups. Leveraging the skills and expertise of Google Ireland’s Digital Consultants, they provide skill based mentoring to high-potential Startups, helping them to structure for scale and get the most out of the web

Each Startup receives 12 weeks hands-on mentoring, access to an exclusive lecture series at Google offices and Google Apps for Work licenses, free for a year.
