About Us

Dogpatch has been open for just over a year and has been through three distinct stages of development. The original site allowed us the oportunity to create space for up to 25 startups, many of which are still with us. The second phase of development, with the help of Ulster Bank, gave us The Vaults, our dedicated events and meeting space.

Ground Floor

A former furniture store located on the north end of the chq Building, the 13,000 sq ft of space began to be developed in January 2015. A young and dynamic team was assembled and tasked with drawing up plans and designs for a unique coworking space. Once confused by a passerby of being a doggy day care centre (!), Dogpatch still attracts lots of interest within the building but has firmly established its presence in the area.

The Vaults

The development of The Vaults in partnership with Ulster Bank represents the second stage in the evolution of Dogpatch Labs as it grew to 22,000 sq ft. The conversion of 200 year old former whisky vaults into a world-class events and meeting room space enables greater community involvement in Dogpatch. Since the launch of The Vaults in November 2015, there have been hundreds of diverse events and thousands of attendees who have come through our doors.

The Mezzanine

Partnerships with Pivotal Labs, Ulster Bank and Google enabled the development of the Mezzanine Floor, allowing Dogpatch Labs to become Ireland’s largest cowroking space at 40,000 sq ft. Half of the space will serves as hotdesking space for entrepreneurs, while the other half will be dedicated to office space for Pivotal Labs. The Urban Garden area will also serve as an events space for the community with recent events such as the ESB Big Energy Hack proving to be a huge success.

Our Location

Situated on the banks of the liffey and within the historic chq Building, Dogpatch Labs is the heart of the tech and financial ecosystem. We are well connected by to Luas, DART and bus routes…

The chq Building

We are proud to be housed inside the iconic and historic chq Building. Formerly known as Stack A, it was built in 1820 as a wine and tobacco warehouse with vaults beneath to store wine. Constructed by the pioneering work of John Rennie it has since been restored many times. The building is home to EPIC Ireland, the new interactive visitor experience that showcases the unique global journey of the Irish people, as well as a number of delicious food and coffee outlets.

The Digital Docklands

We are at the heart of Ireland's tech and financial ecosystem. South of the River Liffey there are the Euopean HQs of some of the world's biggest tech companies; Google, Facebook and Air BnB. To the North lies the IFSC - International Financial Services Centre - where a number of Fintech companies are innovating for the 21st century.

Our History

Dogpatch Labs, launched by Polaris Partners in San Francisco in 2009, had locations in New York city, Boston and Dublin’s Barrow Street before it became the Irish-owned coworking space that it is now

International Recognition

Dogpatch Labs is widely recognised in the United States and Ireland for its pioneering development of early stage co-working communities. The Polaris-owned venture first opened its doors in Dublin in September 2011 and quickly became home to many of Ireland’s fastest growing technology companies including Logentries, Boxever, Profitero, Intercom and CoderDojo.
Dogpatch Labs spaces have originated companies such as Instagram which was sold to Facebook for approximately $1 billion.
